Thumbprint

We do everything we can to make sure that our church is a safe place to belong as you move towards belief so that you can become the person you really want to be.

That does not mean that our church is all about you and not about God. It most truly is about God, but we are learning that God is deeply committed to people and deeply committed to people becoming all that he created us to be. God made us in His image and God’s salvation is to make us fully human – more alive than we presently are.

C.S. Lewis once wrote “I do not want my image of God. I want God.” We share that hunger and we are discovering that, when we truly find God, we are able then to find ourselves.

Our church community is a bunch of people finding out the joy of becoming who God created us to be – the most alive, real, diverse, unique group of people around!

There is no such thing as a ‘mere mortal’. This means everyone has the right to be valued and respected ... everybody. We are made in God’s image. As long as we are human we are, by definition, in the image of God.

As a church we are grasping more and more the freedom and the fun in seeing God’s salvation change us and remake us. The image of God that has been vandalized by our selfish behavior is slowly being restored through his grace and his mercy … and it is amazing to see.

This means that our church isn’t big into programs or formulas or stereotypes. We are big into people becoming fully alive and living out that aliveness as we do life together with God.
