About Our Church
We say that we are a ‘new kind of church’ because for the last four years we have been on a journey to raise up new values and embrace new expressions of our following of Jesus Christ and what the Church is about.

Our core beliefs have not changed. They’re not new. They are the historic, orthodox beliefs of Christianity.

While we may look and feel a very modern church, we hold as important the biblical sacraments of communion and baptism. We embrace the mystery and the supernatural of the God’s downwards movement to us through these important sacraments.

The 'newness' of our church comes from our fresh understanding that what it means to be the church arises constantly from the church’s origins in the gospel of Jesus Christ. The church is always about the gospel – the good news of God’s salvation – his mission to form a people belonging to Him.

With this new understanding of the church we hold high core values that perhaps other churches don’t place such visible importance upon:
We value all people as being created in God’s image and worthy of love.
All people matter to God and therefore matter to us.
Everything the church does should help people take steps towards Christ.
The church should be culturally relevant yet speak a counter cultural prophetic
      message.
It is normal for Christ-followers to practice ongoing spiritual formation, serving the
      cause of Christ.
Excellence in everything we do honors God and inspires people.
